Hispanic Heritage Month 2024

Every year from September 15 to October 15, Americans celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month by appreciating the community’s history, heritage, and contributions of the ancestors of American citizens who came from Mexico, Spain, the Caribbean, and South- and Central America. It is a time to appreciate and celebrate the colorful cultures, rich histories, and diversity of the American Latino community.

Thomas Jefferson is best remembered as the person who wrote the Declaration of Independence and third president of the United States. Jefferson learned the Spanish language on his transatlantic passage to France in 1784, with a copy of Don Quixote and a Spanish grammar.
